I started working at this company for less than two weeks and there are rumors of them letting me go. Can they do this just after two weeks? I actually have not done any work yet they just have been training me; nothing hands on , just lectureing me about the job.
Dont they have to give me at least 3 months? Can I transfer do another dept? HELP!

Yes they can, I'm afraid. Why don't you ask your boss if there's any truth in the rumours you're hearing and if so, why are they planning to let you go?

Most businesses can fire you for any reason at any time. I wouldn't give any credit to the company rumor mill, but you may want to bring up the issue with your boss. It will either dispel the rumor or hasten your firing. Either way, it will ease the suspense. Good luck!

I suppose a company could fire anyone at any time. Obviously with good reason.
