Don't worry about it, everything will be fine. I'm a very shy person too, but I managed to work my way up to assistant manager in a supermarket. The thing you have to remember is that you're only on work experience so you wont be doing anything too scary, and also there should be someone with you at all times in case you do get stuck. And also remember that if people are in your shop in the first place then that's half the battle won. Just ask them if they need help with anything and help if you can, and if they don't want to talk to you don't take it personally. Just be polite and everything will work out fine!

i've just been on my work experience and i worked at a hairdressers. I had to wash peoples hair and stuff and as time goes by you'll gain more confidence and adapt to the working environment, and even if you like or don't like your job, it will be an experience you will never forget

It will be really good for you to experience what it is like to be in the workplace. It also may make you reconsider your options as to what you want to do careerwise/further education. You will meet new people and if you show willing and work hard you will be fine.Good luck(wish I was young with my whole life in front of me instead of behind!)

It's a new thing, and new things are always a bit hairy, so it's okay to be nervous at first ... but don't worry, everyone has to experience New Things, so you'll be fine!

the thing to do is not to worry...
go along be positive..
when you get there
do basic conversation...hello ...pleased to meet you ...be honest ...are you interested in football? yes I support manu
this kind of chit chat happens alot...
people who work in shops are easy to get on with and are pretty supportive...
when you are with customers just do basic conversation for customer service..
hello ...did you need anything else and would you like a bag...thankyou ...

Everyobdy is nervous when starting something new, it's quite natural.

Relax, they have had work experience people before and they know exactly what you feel like.

Relax, be yourself and do your best.

Don't worry everyone was young once and employers expect you to not know anything so will tell you exactly what to do. If confused ask your boss.
