if you have a good resume and reallllllly good qualifications and some college, but you apply to jobs that you know you are over-qualified for but you want them to gain experience ........does the employer not acknowledge you for the position? I wish someone that is in HR can answer this.

I already asked this question but again here it is , clarified a bit more:

I have been working at a franchise for 4 months now and 2 months ago my paycheck was lost,by the company, not me! so upon recieving my next paycheck 2 weeks later they decided to add on the amount from the lost paycheck to this one. Well when I recieved my next paycheck another two weeks later, 200.00 had been deducted. When I asked why, I was told it was because i was overpaid on the previous paycheck. Now I try to keep records but we all arent perfect. I was certainly not overpaid, the 200 was for the lost oneand now i am out $200 and as a student, I need that. I tried talking to my manager but he is 18 and stupid and doesnt understand. Is there anything I can do about this? Please help.

I only work part-time, but I feel bad quitting after only starting there three weeks ago. I found a much better job where I put my resume in BEFORE I started working the job that I am now quitting.

Real estate career requirements.
I'm interested in the real estate field. I've heard that you don't have to go to college long for it,and I heard it's a full four years. Either way I'm gonna go to further my education, but I'd like to know the longest you have to go and what do you need. Can I still go to college or start type of program while finishing highschool?

My office manager told my coworker, who happens to be my best friend, that she thinks I have personal problems and may have been abused as a child. Fact is I was, but that is really none of her business and I never discussed that with her. I mentioned this to my boss today, while she is on vacation(I just found out last night). He wants me to have a meeting with him and her to discuss this. Problem is she has been trying to sabatoge me but because my boss likes me, he will not fire me on her behalf, although she hired me. She is very vindictive and could possibly really try something drastic now to make me lose my job. Should I ask my boss to not make a deal of it or should I persue with what he suggested?

I recently got a job at a fast food establisment. I went to orientation and my first day of work for 4 hours. My schedule for next week only has 2 days scheduled for periods of only 3 hours. Is this normal? I requested 20-29 hours on the application, and I only got 6 for my second week.

I'm a recent college grad looking for a full-time job in the Cleveland, OH area. I have a temp/contract position right now and I love it, but I need something full-time. I've got resumes out all over the place but nothing's coming out of any of it. I am looking into going through a headhunter, but I don't want someone I have to pay BEFORE I get any results. Any agencies you can direct me to (CREDIBLE agencies/people!!!) would be appreciated

I think we have all been there. I had a boss similar to the one in the movie. I thought it would be fun to share some stories of these nightmare bosses...
Mine actually told me to babysit her kids. She dropped them off and went to a meeting. They had no discipline and I still had work to do. I let them do WHATEVER they wanted just so I could get my work done. She came back to my hair filled with tape and her kids watching a DVD on my laptop. Anyone have a similar story. Yelling at you to go get her some lunch, telling you how to dress???

I just graduated college with a BA in English, concentration in communications and minor in journalism, and I have professional experience in communications, writing, and journalism. But I have been ALL OVER the net looking for a job with no luck!

Monster, HotJobs, CareerBuilders, JournalismJobs, JournalismUSA, state and federal government websites ... I've checked them all and more, and I must have applied for easily over 250 jobs ... locally, nationally, and internationally.

Nothing!!!

I need a job QUICKLY!

Anyone here working in communications/journalism (prefereably in Ohio, but not limited to) that can offer some quick advice?
