And does it mean negatively about you? What can you do if they think that their reputation can be at stake if they use you?? Why do they say that and what does it tell you? What can you do?

A few people have told me this, and it has really cheesed me off. It sounds really boring to me, as I spend most of my time doing creative pursuits which everyone discourages me from doing, but feels good to me to do with my time.

Is it because it's easier to get a job doing that than other careers ? If so, then won't a ton of other people also do it, making it harder to get a job.... so the people with the natural inclination to do it will excel more, thus getting the previously mentioned easy to get jobs, leaving the ones who don't enjoy business as much, back in the unemployment line?

All my friends who have jobs say they got hired because they knew somebody in management. In most of the jobs I apply for, I don't know anybody in management, and I seldom get interviews, let alone get hired. Is knowing somebody in management the only way I'm going to get hired?

My boss brought his wife into work today and walked her around the office to introduce her to everybody - I'm basically his personal assistant (and have been for the past year and a half), but he did not introduce her to me. We have a great working relationship - what could be the reason for him not introducing her to me?

It can be more than one thing. For example I hate the fact that I have to work with my dad and that I don't have a choice in doing so.

Well I filed unemployment and filed a claim with th labor bored. Yes i do have people that heard them talking about there plan to get rid of me. So should i go through with unemployment and the claim? I can tell you alot more but i am limited on how many words to write. Please help?

I was fired from my last job after barely two months. I believe I was unjustly let go, I should have never left my stable job and joined this awful company with terrible management and politics.
I am now interviewing for some good jobs and things are going quite well. I do not want to talk about the terrible experience I had and left it completely off my resume.
Can I leave this job off the employment application as well (where they ask you to list your most recent employer) and just list the job before that as the most recent?I mean I am hardworking, intelligent guy and do not want this experience to haunt me and prevent me from getting a good job. Will I be OK?

I'm looking for work, so one thing I've been doing is networking. If your friend gave you a lead/contact for a job that didn't quite sound like what you were looking for, do you still get in touch with that lead/contact? And if so, do you try to network from that person, a person you don't even know, without jeopordizing your friendship with your friend? i.e., since you have a lead/contact but it doesn't sound like it will work out, what can you do with it? Or do you not do anything further with it?
