My husband is a certified mechanic and licensed smog technician. Last year he earned $60,000. We also have our own medical transcription business, which brings around $30,000 - $35,000 per year. Private investigators can make over $50,000 per year (I work part-time for one). The medical field is also good to get into. Best of luck to you.

Go for the Internet business that requires less of your time and the one that will not make you feel headache with web designing or which require IT knowledge. Second, choose the internet based company which offer you the opportunity and at the same time giving you the convenience to start the business where all the things are automated. Not sure what to make of your question. What do you want most, to find a niche, or make $50,000? If it's to find a niche, then do what you are skilled at and be the best in your field. The money will follow eventually.
If you want to make $50,000, then do domething someone will pay you $50,000 to do. Spend some time at http://www.salary.com/ and play around with some of the careers to see the average income for those jobs in your area.
