YEP!!! And know this If you have worked on a job for 1 year or more And have gotten fired, And you seek employment else where I would not tell them that you where fired UNLESS you broke the Law and where convicted, JUST say you wanted more money, was bored with that particular job, Relocated. ECT... If you work on a Job 1year and less Do not even mention this job Because most Employers Look for WORK HISTORY, They care about How long you've been on a job. And If they want to call your employer give them a phone # of a close friend like cell # and tell them to talk professional. HEY YOU GO TA MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU and in the future whenever you work on a job for more than 2 years and you've done your best Be sure to ask a manager for a JOB Ref. they should do this it is a TYPED Letter and Keep that with you, IT HELPS IN GETTING HIRED ON FUTURE JOBS. Take Care.

If you are unemployed for any reason, you are considered unemployable. If you were fired for cause and this is widely known, you can forget about getting any career type of job. You will have to spend a significant amount of time in a non-career type job (ie mcdonalds) before picking up an entry level job in your career again. It is important to hide the fact that you were fired and to prevent being unemployed at all costs.
That is the bottom line and the truth about how employers see you. Nobody will tell you things like this even though it is so important.

IT can be, depending on the employer. I am college educated and have been fired from three different professional positions for supporting the wrong baseball team in the World Series (I had the wrong bumper sticker on my car), because I was white (reverse racism), and because I declined to attend a company Christmas party (I was only at the company for about 2 weeks, did not know many of the other employees, and already had plans). I always showed up on time, was a hard worker, did everything that was asked. That rarely seems to be enough sometimes, a co worker who stayed on at one company was always late, or didn;t show up, or showed up high or drunk, but he liked the right baseball team so he was never going to be fired. The world is not fair, and its never unfair in your favor. There are decent jobs out there where political BS won't get you fired (I have one now thank god!) but you have to search for them.

Tell them you was fired and why, but also tell them why you want something better in life too. The reasons you were fired is because you were not happy with the job. Employers will always overloook a situation based on how you present yourself to them and what are your goals.
Tell them your looking for a home to better yourself.

You know, it's against the law in most states for your last employer to state why you were fired. I am an engineer and we get "fired" all the time and it has nothing to do with our performance. Stick in there, do the best job you can, and if someone "rats" on you from the last job...get documentation and sue their ***!!!!

No, it is not common for someone to get fired twice. I would look hard at what you did that resulted in you getting fired, and work quickly to change it. Any employer that knows you got fired will steer clear of hiring you.....

I got fired once and I've had prob 50 jobs in my life. They gave me the choice to take another job and I said, no, please fire me so I can collect unemployment....I thanked them for helping me take some much needed time off and took a 6 month break! I think it is hard to get fired if you care about your work.....
