My boss brought his wife into work today and walked her around the office to introduce her to everybody - I'm basically his personal assistant (and have been for the past year and a half), but he did not introduce her to me. We have a great working relationship - what could be the reason for him not introducing her to me?

Just to add that I'm a woman and I'm not unattractive, but I think his wife was prettier than me. I just feel offended that he didn't feel I was worthy of an introduction.

Maybe he is afraid of making his wife jealous. I had some trouble with my wife when I hired my assistant. She is pretty and I hired her because she is very intelligent and goal oriented. All the things my wife needs to work on. Could be your boss wants to ease her into getting used to you.

That's not a good sign. If he did introduced to everyone else, you should have been the first one.

If your a female and good looking, maybe his wife gets jelous easy and he didnt want her to ask him any questions about having a good looking personal assistant.
Or maybe he likes you?
