It's a long story, but basically I went to Uni when I was 18, dropped out after two years, then went back to do a different course. I completed the second course and by the time I graduated I was 23. Then I work for one company on a tempoary basis for three months, then travelled for a little while. Last October I worked on a temporary contract until January of this year. Since then I have been working part time in a restaurant whilst pursuing a media-related career without sucess. It has now struck me that I have actually been out of work for a few months and this would look real bad on my CV, especially when I am 25.

What should I do about the few months out of work, how can I make it less bad to any potential employers? This has been troubling me so much that I haven't been able to sleep properly. I feel that at 25 I have not done much with myself and don't seem to have a direction in life. Someone give me some sensible advice, as this is seriously bothering me. Thanks

I interviewed with a place this morning. It went well and i was asked back for a second interview this afternoon. On the way to the 2nd interview, there was an accident holding up traffic. I thought i knew a short cut but got lost... i was a few minutes late, less than 10 minutes.
I arrived ready to explain what happened, but the manager (whom i had not met before) came over and was very condescending, asking, "When were you supposed to be here?" then acting as if she didn't believe my excuse. She then asked if i would come in on Thursday instead, saying, "At 2:30? Are you sure you can be here on time?" again in a really condescending tone.
I know it's important to not be late to an interview, but i had a plausible reason. I didn't call because i didn't have my cell and finding a phone would've taken longer... it was all a big mess, but i found her behavior to be unprofessional. Should i take this as a sign that i shouldn't work there? Or just get over it and try again Thursday?

okay so i had to quit my job so i could go to this CDL school. ive been trying to find another job while im at this school but so far nothing. I will have my CDL around mid-July and then ill be making very good money.

But I need money until then. I have spent ALL my saved up money on rent, the process of getting my CDL and all my endorsements, my utilities, auto insurance, the usual. Then last week this woman drove up behind me in the parking lot and i backed into her. ...well cause I was in the process of getting a driving job I didnt want that on my record. So today I pretty much payed her my last $300 so she could get the dent fixed.

Id love a job but nobody is hiring for the hours I need. I have bad credit and applied for a credit card. already.. they gave me a credit limit of $130... yay. I have some college books I could sell and maybe some small things I could sell on ebay. but I think thats it.

I need some money to get me by. ANY ideas would be appreciated!

2 years ago, my friend went to a job interview. She wasn't angry that she didn't get the job, she was furious that someone who had a lot less studies than her, and she considered to be a lot less prepared than her interviewed her. She got a great job elsewhere. Last week, she was interviewing people, and it turned out that same person she once got interviewed by, came for a interview. My friend is not going to give her a job, but she wants to know who could she rub it in to her a lot. Any suggestions??
