Wondering if I could get some good, solid advice (or offers?) as all of my other answers have been answered here.

I am a Copywriter in the Dallas market area with over 8 years of experience in various copywriting mediums, such as radio spots, packaging copy, script writing for television & website advertisements, and many other areas.

I am also a versatile character voice actor and trained announcer. I've hit Monster, Craigslist, CareerBuilder and the like, but so far-- nothing. (I don't have my BA yet, and almost all the companies require it.)

I am currently the Senior Copywriter of a good company, but there are issues present (too complex to list here) that force me to look elsewhere.

Does anyone have any suggestions or leads as to who might need my services? (and PLEASE... no online M2M businesses. I really need either a salaried position or a set hourly pay.)

I await the world's wisdom upon bended knee.

Thanks,
-Schmendrick

i know they aren't supposed to - but in reading some applications and when you sign them it gives them the right to treat past employers as a personal refernce. my most recent past employer says (we went to court with unemployment over this) that i abdandoned my job and i didn't - i was fired due to absense from a medical condition.

OTHER THAN CALLING THEM AND POSING AS A POTIENTAL EMPLOYER - what can i do to find out?

the main reason i'm asking - is b/c i can't get work. this has been going on since january and is getting harder on me and my family - both money-wise and as a family unit. mcdonald's even turned me down and it seems like the ones here hire anybody.

please only reply if you have the answer - no posting just for points.

You'll be suprised some think it is not!

Some call it pulling strings but shouldn't we see it as an avenue for more opportunities?

At work we were listening to gospel & my bosses asked me to bring my cd's. I listen to take 6,Yolanda Adams,Canton Jones, different choirs,Kirk Franklin, etc. My coworker keeps saying that my music is too "black" & that we needed "white" gospel in there. She said my gospel was too soulful & she keeps making these comments to me.

I have an interview scheduled with a company that I would really like to work for and is in a field I know extremely well and like. The main reason I work for my current company is because we help children who have a wide range of learning disabilities, an area I feel very passionate about. I am unhappy with certain aspects of my current company such as advancement opportunity, pay, benefits etc and the new company would have all the things I would like my current company to have. Another twist in the situation is my boss was recently diagnosed with cancer in her brain, lungs and heart. I have worked with her for over two years and it was devastating to hear the news. I don't know what to do - I have been debating leaving for the past year, but on the other hand I hate to leave when we just received news about our boss and we are about to go into our peak season - the summer. New job would mean more financial security for me and my husband and our family down the road.

I was recently promoted. Do I have to specify how much time was spent in each position (I've had 3) at this one employer? Or can I simply give dates of employment and my current title?

that they will keep in touch with me if my application is selected for interview and that if not they will keep it on file for a year? Is that face value or something else? I ask because this is a job I really want, and it has been about a month now. I followed up with them once.
