The question is do you like the job? I've taken jobs before for better money but it wasn't worth the aggravation of the job. The better pay the more that is expected from you and the people you work with might not be so good. I would stick with it if you like it there. If you leave you take the chance of not liking the job as much.

Ok, 9 is good, 12 is better....but it is still a temp.

If I understand you correctly the "other" jobs you refer to with the "way better" earnings fell somewhere between the 9 and 12 an hour range....so what you are saying is that you are making 9 now and in three months go to 12 an hour with the temp agency.

If this is the case....does the current employer with the temp agency plan on taking you in as a regular employee after the 3 months are up??...If this is a possibility, pull the employer aside after you have been with the company for about a month, ask him/her directly what course of action they intend on taking and inquire if they are happy with your performance as well as if there is anything you need to change or make improvements on.

Also, if I am reading the question correctly....there is a time limit on these "other offers" and you do not want them to expire....so if the employer (through the temp agency) said nothing to you about the job turning into a permanent position (this would be normally stated from the get-go, either through the agency or the temp employer), then I would encourage you to accept one of the other offers.

The main variable will be your age...if you are young and just starting off then you have plenty of time to make changes (you will change jobs a couple more times before you are settled into the one that fits). Also you are not yet at the age when you need to start worrying over health insurance etc. However if you are in your mid-late 20's it is time to get settled into a career, hence the permanent position would be the best option for you.

Good luck.

I don't understand the question, but a temp job means no benefits, which will be very important later on in life! I wasted many years working for cash money and no benefits, just having fun and now I'm married with 2 kids and insurance and 401k as well as a retirement plan are key! Also, get a gov't job as they offer early retirement.

Boy are you really confused! 9.00 and 12.00 is the wage per hour? Or is that the time? Now I'm confused! So, what is your question?

If $12 is your goal and it's a peaceful environment, I'd stick with the sure thing - the job you just got hired for.

Otherwise, take on those other opportunities.
