I think the shoe repair business will be around for quite a while yet. Ditto banking and tellers, although bank tellers could be on the way out at some point in time.

Well.........I suppose it all depends on the person. I don't know much about the shoe repair business but I work with tellers. If you like helping others with problems and can handle grumpy people and don't mind standing at the same window everyday. Not that it's a bad thing...

I think that there are better career paths, but everything is a career path if you want it to be. I would say a bank teller would be a higher possibility of a job!

Bank teller, I don't think two many people get their shoes repaired these days they just throw them out, and buy a new pair that buisness did well in the depression era, Good Luck, mike

Why not? If that is where ones passions lie, go for it, I always dreamed of a career as a MacDonalds service worker. If one is happy in what they are doing, then it is worthwhile. I couldnt imagine a world without shoe repair persons or bank tellers. I couldnt function without them, every job is important,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 NOW BEND OVER AND SCRUB MY TENNIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!whoaaaaa baby

Yes if your going into banking, or the shoe business or management however nothing beats that paper with a BA on it they like that. It gets you further up in the company and MBA goes even further.

People been wearing shoes and using money for a long time, so sure. Both are glamorous so go for it.
