To stay at a $8 a hour job and be happy or go to a $12 a hour job and have stress?

It depends on how desperate you are for the money. If you're just getting by day-by-day, I'd go with the $12 job. This way you can at least lessen the stress in paying your bills and stuff like that. If money isn't a huge issue, go with the $8 job.

Lets define the "stress" you refer to....
What kind of stress? Is it the same type you will run into at every job??? If so...then go with the 12 dollar an hour position.
Remember...employers want to see progression in your work history...if they see you are content to stay at a low pay you will loose out on opportunities for advancement and have a sketchy work history filled with low paying positions. So when you do try to apply for "the job", the one you REALLY want...more than likely you will not get it, also you will not have conditioned yourself to the common stresses that exist on every job.

It would be better to get the lowering paying job and be happy, if you don't really need the extra money. But, if you do in fact, need the extra money then you should take the higher paying job.

i would pick neither and find a better job but if those were the only choice i would probley pick the $8 job because if the $12 dolloar job caused me stress i would probley quit

I hate to say it.... stress! You cant live on $8, at least not where I live...
