I had the same thing happen to me. I had a phone call from an agency telling me they got my name from a job board, they call this job offer "Customer Service Evaluations". I would be given a local store to go to (in my case they told me Walmart), pretend I was a real customer and wanted to western union some money to a family member in Canada. They mailed a check payable to me (about $1600) and told me to cash it at my bank and go to the store to wire some money. Then fill out an evaluation on the service I was given by the store. Well.... before agreeing to do this, my husband did his research and we found out this check was, of course, counterfeit. We took it to our local bank and will be reporting it. BEWARE OF TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE OFFERS!
