Nothing. You can not sue them it really wasn't discrimination. You were either over qualified or under qualified..It happens.

It may be that all positions are filled or they hire only part time employees to avoid benefits. If they said their reputation would be at stake I would send a carefully worded email asking pleasantly if they could give you constructive criticism that would benefit you in your next job application. then add, almost as an after thought what about you would affect their reputation.End it with "I will appreciate all the advice you can give me" Don't let them think that the reputation thing is your big question becaise they may not reply. If they reply and mention anything about that, then call the ACLU or a legal aid society. If they dont just figure that the interviewer wanted some one else.

To respond to the question most of the time it is not personal if you are permanently removed from any job. However sometimes it is. But to make sure that will never be the case just remain strictly business with your co-workers and employers.

An employment agency is looking at any specific time for very specfiic people with specific qualifications,

If they are hiring fork lift drivers and you are a typist, odds are they don't need you.

If you are a fork lift driver and they need admin ast, you are not of much helpl.

If they are a very "up scale" agency, and you where leather and nose rings they will not need you.

It just means they don't have any employers who match your skills/resume. Maybe they specialize in supplying workers to healthcare, but your degree is in teaching. There's nothing you need to do... just forget about them and move on.

There's nothing that prevents you from talking to several employment agencies. Why not get your resume on file with all the ones in your town?

If someone said that to me, I'd ask them to please explain the reason. If you know the reason, you can be better prepared to address the issue (whatever it might be) when you apply at the next employment agency.

who cares if they think negatively of you...you should be the only one that cares...they have that right to use you or not...you need to find a niche that you enjoy and that is suited for you...search within and then cease the day!!! don't give up...
