If you only have a 2.7 gpa, I would leave it off your resume. It's not that 2.7 is terribly low, but it is certainly not anything worth mentioning, so distract people away from your gpa when you are applying for jobs. Instead, highlight any work experience that you've had or extracurricular activities. If they are interested in your schoolwork, you can list the types of classes you've taken, or areas that you've learned rather than your gpa.

Of course it is, most employers don't look at your gpa. If you think the H.R. department is throwing your resume in the trash because your gpa is below the requirements stated in the posting, go around them. Call the company to find out who the manager is in the department where the job is open. Then, call him/her directly and tell them how interested you are and what you can do for them.
