I do not want to buy or rent a vending machine. Maybe there are some websites to check out

The local newspapers papers have listings for 'business opportunities'
All kinds of stuff ends up there.. mostly internet work-at-home scams or envelope stuffing crap.. occasionally you will find something like a vending machine route.. they cost a lot to buy out the business.. like $5000 and up.. seems like a good investment.. I am a chronic splurger for soda and hershey bars :)
You would make a ton of buckos off of me.

I would Google vending machine companies, then write them letters explaining your life long desire to work for them with the anticipation that if they make your dream come true they would not regret it. ( I am trying to be serious but your question makes this really hard to do)

Look in your phone book under vending...call them and ask if they are hiring

Find out when the local machine is getting re-stocked and wait for the dude and ask him how he got hired
