The better profession is the one that you like better. They are in 2 completely different fields. There is a whole lot you can do in engineering and so many different kinds. I would think though that an anesthesiologist makes good money...but also some work all hours of the day etc.

I dont understand it is a proven fact that there is no money to be made in working for someone else yet the person asking is proud that he can get a job and all the people who answered are proud that they can help him make a decision to get a job it truely is a shame that our youth spends so much money on college just to come out and make less than 80000 grand a year but thats what the government wants and they pay for the education ive seen business masters come out and make 30000 ayear and owe 100000 and yet the highschool student that had no education drives a tractor trailer next to the stuck up person with a degree and makes 100000grand ayear and it didnt cost 30000 to get their so who wrong and whats right

Proud American,
Interesting options...
Wish you had given us more details
(which kind of engineering...)
But something is missing here,
and that is vocation. Nothing wrong
with not having a vocation, and being
more interested in making more money,
but one wonders what kind of
anesthesiologist w/o a serious vocation
one would be.
Having been 'under the knife' a few times,
and knowing the extreme importance an
anesthesiologist is for the success of any
procedure, I would say, go for engineering.
It requires logic, calculation, and sounds
that would be more your style.
Good luck and all the best!

Anesthesiologists make more money, but like Computer Engineers and Engineers with Doctorate degrees make mad cash as well.

Hmm It all depends where you're going. Also Engineering has a wide section of how much you make (Chemical Engineer, Architectual, etc..) In General, an anesthesiologist makes more because they are specialists but it really all depends.

Since you're surfing the net put your head to use. Go to google. Type in US. Department of Labor - You can look up any job you ever thought of and see how much they make right now and projections for the next 7-10 years along with minimum education (college) requirements. I believe it's called the occupational handbook.
Good Luck

Anesthesiologists make a lot of money. In my opinion, it better because you get to help others. Plus, it's in big demand right now, so you'd have a better chance of finding a job.

Well I will tell you this....engineers are rarely listed as co-defendants in medical malpractice lawsuits.
Go with Electrical Engineering.

Well don't get hooked up on material possessions and choose the career that would make you happy. Personally your attention to detail indicates that neither of these choices would suit you.
