When I had my 8 month old son, I quit my job. I have a Bachelors Degree in fashion design and marketing, but I'm having trouble finding work I can do from home. My husband works, but its hard to live off of one income these days. I don't want to do surveys and I should have to pay for a job. I look on craigslist and similar sites daily, but still nothing. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. Thank you all...PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

If it were me, I would take my resources and contacts and open an online-work-from-home store. Yahoo stores offer great rates on being able to market materials anywhere in the world.

Using your marketing skills and fashion contacts, you can create your own opportunity without having to be a web genius. Their templates are easy to use.

All you will need to do is get set up to accept credit cards, open up a business checking account and have a digital camera to post pictures of your goods.

After you submit your sites to the search engines, or pay money for premium placement, the orders should start flowing in.

With a commercial phone number and fax, you can operate your business from your home and make a comforable living.

You may have to face the reality that finding a job means not staying at home all day. If you and your husband can't afford for you to stay home anymore, you don't have many options.
However if you find a job that will allow you to "telecommute" after a few months that would be ideal, just don't let it be the first thing out of your mouth at an interview.

I'm pregnant with my first baby & I am planning to quit my job a little before I have my baby so that I can be a stay at home mom. I want to be the one caring for my child, not some stranger. I want to be there when they need me & be the first one to see them grow & learn & teach them! They grow up so quickly that I want to be there for every important moment & not look back & wish I were there. I don't want to miss one moment of their childhood! I want to care for them & make memories & not have to work around a work schedule to do that. Then once they are starting school I will go back to work part time so that I can still take part in school trips, helping out etc. Once there out of elementry school I plan on going back to work full time knowing I have made the most of my baby's childhood & made many wonderful memories with them!! They grow up soo fast!! Good luck on your desicion! Thats just my opinion, I know that not everyone is finacially stable to be able to do that or just want to continue working. Whatever the choice is I think its a personal one & you should do what suites you & your family best! Good luck :)

Have you thought about checking into medical billing? They make pretty good money and you can do this from home too. I'm not sure of all the qualifications but I found this that may give you some more information on this.
