I groom dogs which is hard and takes strength. I could barely hold my head up. The manager kept accepting dogs even though she knew I was not well.

Good dog groomers are hard to find. No matter what happens with this job, I would start looking for a better boss in a better place. One that cares as much about its employee's as it's K9 customers.

Your boss must be a slave driver, or you are so good at what you do, she fears your absence for even a short time?

You should work hard, but you don't have to suffer or sacrifice your health, for any one!

You should have just went home and told the manager to 1) stop accepting new dogs 2)get someone to cover for you or 3)do it herself.

You should never put up with that crap at work while you're sick.

Vomit on the manager next time. Get doctor's note. Manager sounds like a real jerk.

Better yet, vomit on a customers dog and really teach the jerk a lesson.

And file a complaint with the managers boss.

Call in sick tomorrow, and until you feel better. Hopefully your manager will come down with the same crud that's got you and then she won't be so enthusiastic about working you into the ground next time.

Tell her to kiss your butt if she doesnt like it.
If you were that sick hey, you needed to go home.
Not to belittle your job, but if she fires you im certain you can find something just as good if not better. And if it comes to that put the word out to her customers what kind of person she is and how she treets her employees.

The only way any one will ever respect you. is if you have respect for yourself. If you truly are or were sick, then no one can make you stay at work and no one can fire you either. Next time you are sick. Don't take no for an answer.

Call the doc and get some advice, or tell your boss you'll be off until your fever breaks. LOts of liquids and rest.
