My husband, who is Muslim, and I were having a conversation about religion. He was telling me that in Islamic belief God will torture those (I guess their souls when the time comes) who are not of the right faith (which is obviously Islam in my husband's view).
Based on this conversation what I don't understand is why Muslim men can have a non-Muslim wife knowing that by his belief her soul cannot be with God because she is not of the right faith.

This seems a bit contradictory to me. Muslim men can marry women 'of the book' even though their souls are basically condemned? I know Islam is supposed to pass on through the father to the children, but the wife doesn't matter?

...and in the rest of the diaspora for that matter? Why do even Orthodox women generally ignore these today? Is it a new theological interpretation, or is it just refusal to follow? Also, when are where did the practice of face veiling and veiling in general start to disappear among Jews and why? Do you know of any Jewish communities who still practice face veiling?

I thought you guys might like this video of traditional Jewish clothing. I'd love to here your comments.

Could that be step one on the road to peace?

They could all convert and apply for aliyah. Once they get there...well Israel IS a democratic country and treats all its citizens equally and all, so if they later decided they had made a terrible mistake and switched back to Islam or Christianity, what could Israel do except grin and bear it?

I just realized that I asked this question on R&S and not Israel where I had intended. You could check it out over there, too.

I only went on one cruise, and I was under the impression you could get room service, anything you wanted, 24 hours a day.

Well, I was wrong. There was pizza available 24 hours a day in the lounge, and room service was only cold sandwiches.

My question is, was it just this particular ship I was on (Carnival's Celebration Ship), or are they all pretty much like that?

Is there a cruiseline/ship that has more of a selection at 3am, or with a room service menu the same as what you would get from a restaraunt??

Good food, and food selection is VERY important to me, and I don't want to be stuck on another boat again for 7 days with mediocre food, and not too much food to choose from. My husband and I are night owls, and we like to eat good. We might go to bed early, then wake up at 1 am for drinks, then we want to eat, but we want something GOOD, not friggin pizza and lunch meat sandwiches!!

Hi People. I Was Watching A Show That Day In India Perhaps The 1st Or 2nd Of December Or 30th Of November On Travel & Living Channel. It Mentioned An Island Whose Name I Could Not Find As The Electricity Was On The Blink. It Mentioned A Village Chora/ Hora Something. A Peaceful Village Where You Can Walk From Lane To Lane Easily On The Crooked Pavements. Anyways, It Mentioned A New Hotel With A Pool Overlooking The Sea And A Church In Which Couples Usually Hang Out. I Checked Everywhere On The Net But I Have Only Fragmented Information. Some Sources Say That It Is On The Kamari Islands The Resort I'm Searching For But Some Say On This Anafi Chora Thing. What I Know For Sure Is That It's Somewhere In The Cyclades Islands.

Thanks Again.
Babemagnetz.

Are they two different places, Or are they both just the Greek version and the English version of the same place. Like Rodos and Rhodes, or Kriti and Crete.
Are they two different places or one place?

Thanks! :o)

My fiance is originally from Cebu. This May, I'll be going there for four weeks. Do Filipinos generally not like Americans? From some of the people I've chatted with on the internet, it would seem so. I won't be offended by honest answers; I just want to know what to expect when I get there. What's the typical attitude toward Americans in the Philippines?

more natural in a Muslim country? With so much in common, how come Christians and Muslims don't love each other, and together change the world to their narrow points of view.
