OK I have a German girlfriend coming over for dinner tomorrow night, she is in need of moral support as she has just split with a long-term boyfriend. I am thinking of trying to cook some traditional German cuisine to remind her of home, but am unsure what to do- as we are in the UK do you know of anything simple I could try and that I could find the ingredients for over here?

I had my photo taken in a supermarket photo booth and it was rejected because I was too near. I have spoken to others who have had the same problem. Just alerting people to get theirs done digitally not waste their time and money in a booth.
