Air Travel

I can understand wanting to reduce the noise in a plane, but there is absolutely no problem with sending SMS messages or checking your email on your Blackberry.

For the airline to say that using your phone on the plane effects the instruments and the communication on the plane is an absolute lie. There should be a class action suit against each Airline that makes such a lie.

Do you actually think if a single cell phone could affect the communications and instruments of airplanes that they would allow a cell phone within 10 miles of an airport? Absolutely not. In this day and age of powertripping TSA and others, it is nothing more than reminding you who is the boss on a plane. No phones on during a plane, until they learn to charge you for its use. At the moment they have not figured this out yet, so no phone for free.

I have 2 questions....

I am a college student and I was wondering if I could take a small desk lamp with me onto the plan (with bulb). It will be in a duffel bag.

Also, can I take a duffel bag and a backpack onto the plan (not checking it in underneath).

A group of friends will be going to Las Vegas at the end of January. We will be staying at a condo that was just bought by one of them. One of our male friends will not have to worry about money for anything except gambling and we really won't be going just to do that. We just want to party and enjoy other things that vegas has to offer.He is scared to get on a plane because he knows if it goes down, that he will be dead. I already told him that i was going to get him drunk but now i am seriously considering the fact that if something happens to him that it will be my fault and i will have his family to deal with. I´m currently in Cabo san lucas and purchased a lot of liquor while I was here. I am traveling back to the states tommorrow, and I know I can´t bring any of it carry on, but is it okayif I wrap it up and put it in my checked baggage? Or is that not okay with customs. PLEASE HELP

Hello. I am moving to The Netherlands end of january 08.. and i was wondering if anybody knows if i can take my hamster with me. We are also taking 4 cats and 2 dogs.. but would my hamster survive? [lets say that the airplane company says we can take him..] Or would he be under too much stress.

im visiting a foreign country soon,and from there i want to bring back weed home. (my brother can get medical bud there)

My wife and I are adopting a child sometime in February. Because the baby has not yet been born we don't yet know the dates we will be traveling. We want to buy tickets at a reasonable price without paying the outrageous last minute ticket fees. Airlines don't seem to offer emergency fares in cases of adoption at least the airlines that I have talked to. I was thinking of becoming a flight attendant right out of highschool. Imagine that after some time as a flight attendant, I resigned, or became too old for the airline's taste (I suppose there is such a thing). Am 17 yrs old and Iam so scared to fly on the planes after what happend on sep.11 I no longer wanna fly on the planes to go any were, my mom and I were thinking about going to Florida next summer I told her I would love to go but am too scared to fly on the plane, my question is how safe are the planes?? and from New York (were I live) to Florida how long is the ride?? also are you sure the planes are safe to ride?? cuz am like freaking out and getting nervous

It will only be about a two hour flight, but I am starting to feel extrememly anxious about it. Sometimes I have panic attacks just being in a car...so I am afraid that I will get on the plane and start freaking out. Any advice on keeping the anxiety levels down?

I missed 2 flights in the past 2 months or so. I left late to the airport for the first flight and today missed the flight coz I didnt see the right time for its departure.

I got new tickets for tomorrow but whats wrong with me?

I feel like like kicking myself coz I was so careless..... I was free, the whole day sitting at home doing nothing and finally miss both flights.......
