I missed 2 flights in the past 2 months or so. I left late to the airport for the first flight and today missed the flight coz I didnt see the right time for its departure.
I got new tickets for tomorrow but whats wrong with me?
I feel like like kicking myself coz I was so careless..... I was free, the whole day sitting at home doing nothing and finally miss both flights.......
Any tips? I am so MAD at myself you wont imagine!!

Get over it MG, it happens to everyone in some way. To increase the chances of this not happening again you just need to plan your day better. Make sure you have everything packed that you need ahead of time. Make absolutely sure you know when your flight suppose to go (check, then check, and when your sure check another time). Get there earlier, I think they say 3 hours before your flight leaves (at least in the US) sit around the airport there and do nothing. Also have a way of getting to the airport set up in advance too. It's all just planning, its not an easy discipline to get into but if your a frequent flyer it's a must. Best of luck next time around! ERRROOF!

No, you dont' have the brains of an old woman. It's a misnomer that old people have memory problems. Senility or Alzheimers may be on your mind, but you are far from that.
What you have is perhaps a combination of procrastination and time management problems both of which are conquerable. Getting yourself to do things immediately and not putting them off will get you past your procrastination (a good book on the subject may also get you more aware of the problem and more tools to overcome it) and a good time management tool such as a Franklin Planner can help you get things into line there as well. I recommend the Franklin Planner as it is more than just a "Daytimer" as it has a myriad of useful pages for every task, as well as a built in system of marking and moving things to new pages.

I work 20 minutes when I live but after I dress up for work. I stay on the computer just to say hi and I get some interesting question that I want to answer and forget the time so I have to do 90mph on freeway which some day I might get in the trouble with the cops but I hope not.

Well, at the first instance, the old women will get offended with your question. Your question reflects that Old women are mad, which is not right.
Your problem has nothing to do with the age. It is simply procrastination as idenified with you. Basically, you have to find the reasons for the procrastination and act on it.
The probable reasons are that you are not in the right job or you are missing something in life. May be any other reason as well, for you to find out.
Good Luck.

I agree with It's Good To Be The King. If this is something new for you, I suspect it has to do with your romance. Being "in love" is a very emotional experience as you know. Strong emotions, by themselves, interfere with thinking.
If you're like me when I was in love, you tend to think about the other person frequently during the day (one time it was almost constantly!). Being preoccupied is a good way to forget appoint appointments and all kinds of things.
I don't think that you are in any danger of getting senile. One person who answered was correct in that senility does not come automatically with getting older (as was once thought), but is a consequence of some disease process such as Alzheimer's disease.
It sounds like you just need to develop some system, during this period, that will insure you don't miss appointments.
I hope something I've said has been a help dear friend.

Often the mind is so full of other things MG that the time slips by and when you finally get around to checking your flight plans, you have left it too late.
It might be age related, or just putting things off until the last minute.

From what you've said in the past on other subjects, I'd guess you were distracted by other things, such as romance in your real life. Which, if the tickets were refundable (or could be rescheduled) is not a bad thing. I wouldn't make a habit of this, but there are worse things to be distracted by.
