I have 2 questions....

I am a college student and I was wondering if I could take a small desk lamp with me onto the plan (with bulb). It will be in a duffel bag.

Also, can I take a duffel bag and a backpack onto the plan (not checking it in underneath).

Thanks!

A desk lamp is not on the prohibited items list, and a back pack is not either. Look at; www.tsa.gov for more information. As long as the items can be stowed under the seat in front of you or in the overhead bin they are o.k.

Airlines typically allow you to carry two things, a regular pack and a personal item like a purse or laptop case. I believe taking a desk lamp onto a plane wouldn't fit within the allowed requirements on how big a bag can be. And wouldn't a desk lamp on a plane look suspicious?
