New York City

My friend and I are going to New York for 4 days. We are looking for a clean, cheap hotel in the NYC area (can be New Jersey if it's a decent area and the hotel is clean). I would prefer free or cheap parking and a subway station or bus line nearby. Please help!! Thanks so much!

curious about traffic/crowdedness/ and what not.
Plannin on driving there like 10am to get some daylight hours there..
Definitely not stayin overnigh(obviously not finding a place). Just drinking and gettin a DD to drive home after the ball drop.

This next week I'm going to NY and want to ride quite seriosly but won't have a bike with me. I am prepared to rent a bike road/mountiain bike. I've heard you can ride a road bike in Central Park, do they mind you going fast?
Also a MB park off Long ISland Expressway?

Are there any other good, closed to traffic places to ride near or in NY, NY.

If so, have you stayed in room 100? That room doesn't exist anymore, so mabye you've been there more recently & stayed in room 103? eh? Did you notice anything creepy? Did you hear any screaming or yelling?

My family and i are going to new york for new years. We also wanted to go to the statue of liberty. I know that the statue is on Liberty Island, but isn't Liberty Island in New York City?
