going to new york in febuary any suggestions on what the best things to wear going and what i should pack????

That's one of the coldest points in New York's winter season!! Pack gloves, a scarf, a coat, sweaters, turtle necks, tall boots, snow boots, rain boots, rain coats, hats, mittens (if your hands get cold easily), ear warmers (if your ears are sensetive to the cold), long socks, heavy jeans that you would not mind getting wet in the rain or snow (weather here is unpredictable), umbrella, MONEY (if you plan on shopping and siteseeing), a camera, an extra suit case (because if you are a big shopper you're going to need it!), something to wear in your hotel or house or whatever when you're inside (slippers, a comfy & warm robe)...that's about all I can think of right now! Pack some sweatshirts and jeans...I live here, its pretty cool in Feb. Otherwise, New York is a great place : D

February can be brutal. Bring warm clothes, dress in layers. And, hey, what better excuse to go shopping in NYC? By February, the winter stuff goes on sale. :-)

new york+ february= -5 degrees in the morning. trust me my dads gone on a ton of trips there and its freezing at that time. Bring tons of layers, mittens, sweats or pants, anything to keep you warm!

dress warm, depends how old you are? you can enjoy bars, arts, and food. check out metropolitan museum of art, Central park, and village. also go to south street sea port. Take with you a lots of money and enjoy yourself. Do not go to subways at night or without a new yorker.

New york city is very cold in Feb. i would pack very warm and very comfy flying.

yup, well its gonna be FREEZING up there.. so i would suggest packing some boots preferably UGG boots hence those are extremely warm AND comfortable since youll probably be walking on your feet a lot. also a nice, warm jacket.

sneakers. dont try to be cool & where nice shoes that will kill your feet. heavy coat, scarf, gloves, etc. a nice outfit if you go out to a fancy restaurant. & just remeber when your walking around, always act like you know what your doing, cause if people can tell if you dont, the might go after you (pick pockets etc)

It will be cold beyond your wildest dreams (and windy). The tall buildings have a venture effect making wind much worse than if there were no buildings.
