curious about traffic/crowdedness/ and what not.
Plannin on driving there like 10am to get some daylight hours there..
Definitely not stayin overnigh(obviously not finding a place). Just drinking and gettin a DD to drive home after the ball drop.

again.. ANY suggestions/comments very welcome

where were you planning on drinking? because you CANNOT drink in Times square. Not even water. You're allowed no bottles inside. or backpacks...and you must get to times square no later than 2pm to even get a spot, so that's at least 10 hours of just standing there in the cold with nothing to do and nothing to drink. If drinking is your plan, go somewhere else or stay home and watch the ball on tv.

just in case you are checking from your blackberry, laptop wireless here is 10 places, in times square that are hosting parties with music, bands, djs, times, location, cost and what they offer are included including an open bar at some, dancing at others and some of them include their own spot penned in at Times square for their party goers. this is the best way to be AT the party and still be able to ENJOY the party

No, yet I had a cousin pass. He stated it exchange into his worst new years ever. Packed like sardines. Drunken human beings in each single place. He went to New Orleans one 365 days too and enjoyed it.

It will probably be very cold, and it is also extremely crowded. Be prepared to walk.
