take the 6 train to bleecker st. bleecker st is 1 block from e. houston st. but e. houston and broadway. if you want to go more east. then you have to transfer to the F or V train. i recommend you ride near the front of the train if you want to exit and transfer faster to the F or V train later on.

at bleecker st, transfer to the downtown F or V train to second ave (and e. houston st). ride near the front of the train if you want the 2nd ave exit, ride at the back if you want 3rd ave exit.

At 28th and Park Ave South take the 4,5 or 6 (Green) south to Bleeker Street about 4 stops. You can either transfer there to the F train and go 1 stop east to 2nd Ave and Houston or you can leave the subway and walk east.

You don't say where on E. Houston you need to go.

Go west on 28th to Broadway. Get on a downtown R or W. Exit at Prince Street (you're at the corner of Prince and Broadway, one block south of Houston, and one block west of Crosby).

Next time, figure this out for yourself on www.hopstop.com.
