in this order:

-- Call 311. They will transfer you to the Dept. of Transportation. You will need to make lots of calls. Record the date and the operator's badge # each time.

-- Contact your Community Board. It probably has a "Traffic" or "Transportation" committee accustomed to working on this type of issue.

-- Contact your City Council Member's office.

-- Contact your Borough President's office.

for you you'd probably can't be able to do anything. If you don't have authority or money, your world is the same as listening to a rock. All city budgets are strained the way they already are but when the time comes they will maintain places. heck, if you find a city with extra money well then thats probably a communism country. Please don't try to make phone calls, to call department lines they cost about 5-6 times more than a normal call and they count every minute also.
