We have found a Comfort Inn Suites 2717 W Sunset Blvd LA on the net and seems to be in a pretty good location, does anyone know much about this hotel / location or suggest anything similar but better? This one seems to have a good rate incl breaky. We are flying over from Australia. We really want to catch an LA Lakers game while there.

I am planning a trip for myself, my girlfriend and our two children, ages 10-7.
Which hotel do you think is better:
The Disneyland Hotel - or
The Paradise Pier Hotel...

My problem is the pool area which would the kids like better, the Peter Pan themed or the Roof top?

Thank you-

I'm thinking about traveling to LA for Anime Expo 2008, but if I do, I need to plan now & reserve my rooms ASAP. What hotels are close by the convention center? Also, I'm planning on seeing more of the sights while I'm out there. Do I need to have my own car, or is there a good public transportation system out there? The last time I went to LA it was for a school trip & we had our own vans. Even if I don't get to go to AX, I'm still planning on going back out there at some point in time & these things are good to know. I try to take the public transportation when I can, since it saves money (money that I can use towards silly keepsakes & better hotel rooms).

I am moving to Los Angeles in August from Sandusky, Ohio. What would be the cheapest route on getting all of my stuff moved to LA? I don't have a WHOLE LOT of stuff, but I do believe I couldn't fit it all in my small car. If the cheapest route is to rent a truck, I do have friends who are going to make the journey with me who could drive. I would have them drive and put some of my stuff in there, but it seems to be easier just to rent a truck and have them drive and have me drive my car.

I'm just trying to find beautiful nature spots for relaxation with the family and kids, other than the crowded manmade and stocked lakes such as big bear lake and others, anywhere for peaceful seclusions please.

I am considering a move to SoCal and wanted to get some opinions on what is a nice place to move. I am 29 with no family, enjoy outdoor activities, shopping, beach, biking, hiking, etc. I have stayed in the Aliso Viejo, Dana Point area and thought it was a really cool area. I have heard mixed opinions about L.A. and San Diego.

I basically am looking for an upscale area with low crime with people in the 20-40 year old age bracket. I like to be in or very close to restaurants, shopping, entertainment, nightlife, etc. If possible I would like to be close to the beach(5-10 mins).

Thank you
