I just read the Interesting book about Lebanon, and the percent of Christians is about 40%, with the remainder divided between Shiite and Sunni Muslims. Remember the Christian community is divided between a couple of sects that don't always get along, so it isn't always a united community.

It's said that aprox 38% of chistians living in Lebanon... the majority are Maronite ones.
Since 1937 ( I'm not sure about the year) there is not census in Lebanon.
Anyways, as lebanese had migrated so much during the 20th century and still are doing it, is well known that the ones that run away from all the invaders were christians. So, if you count the christians lebaneses living abroab, we are much more than the muslims living inside Lebanon nowadays.
The lebanese diaspora is about 14 millions of pple, living majoritary in South America, Canada, France and Australia.
Brazil itself has 9 millions.

If you mean the percentage of Lebanese who are nominally Christian, 30 (or about 1.2 million people). The current *CIA* World Factbook (see link) gives the percentage as 39%.
I would say there are at least 1.2 billion nominal Christians in the world so the answer to the question you actually asked would still probably be less than 0.1 percent regardless of the percentage from the above answer. The Wikipedia link below suggests that there might be from 1.5 to just over 2 billion "adherents" so it could be anywhere between 0.05 and 0.1 percent.

There was no census in Lebanon since forever so they just give the approx numbers based CIA factbook numbers .Yet MOST who chant with these numbers hate the USA. isn't Pathetic.

Roughly 40%. Beirut, Lebanon, was once called "the Paris of the Middle East." Lebanon was a protectorate of France and there are many Catholics.
