Why do we say to "fight fire with fire", does it mean literal fire or fire as in gunfire? I can understand the latter but not the former! Apart from that is fighting fire with fire the best way? Or is it better to use water.....?

She is Ihvonie Maravillo Sevilleno, and has ripped me off for 22,000 Pesos - telling me she can get me a house to rent and keeping the money. Also she charged me 10,000 Pesos for work by a bogus video production company and I have seen no results for the money I paid. This is called TOKS Productions.
BEWARE OF THIS WOMAN !! She is a Professional Fraudster.
Can anyone help me get my money back - It was in July 2007 she was paid, and all I get is excuses when I ask her for my money back. I am now moving to Cebu, as Bacolod was a waste of time and money for me.
I want this woman in Court !! But I need an agency who specialize in debt collecting as they know the legal system and what to do.

I submit for you today a modest proposal to help solve the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

For the last 20 years plans advocating “Two states for two people” have gone nowhere. Irregardless of the reasons for why (which I am sure many of you will blame one side or the other) it is doubtful that given another 20 years that this problem will be resolved.

As such I suggest switching two million American Jews with a corresponding number of Palestinians, primarily from the West Bank. While this would end any plans for a Palestinian state such a problem could be ameliorated by renaming either the Gaza strip or Jordan as Palestine.

This would also give a new opportunity to those Palestinians who would now have the freedom to express their unique culture and heritage in the United States as well as the economic opportunities that were before unattainable.

Do Hindi people eat beef if they are not religious? I don't mean Muslims.
Here in Israel, for example, only religious Jews don't eat pork. Secular ones can buy and eat it everywhere.

(1) my French level is very poor, i cannot understand what French people saying, in French writing i can only guess some vocabularies in a sentence. I cannot make a full french sentence. Should I not go to France,: Paris and Nice for a month? Can I survive (ask for directions and buy food) in Nice and Paris and land on and get off plane in French airport?

Hey all, I'm from Edinburgh and have been considering moving to Leeds, my fiance is from Leeds but has been living in Edinburgh for the past 7 years so things may have changed since then. We went to visit his family a few months back but it was just for a few days and I loved it there but didn't really get to see much. Can anyone give me any advice to help make our decision please?
