From Las Vegas, where can I see the Grand Canyon, other than paying at least $50 for the West Rim, or driving 5 hours to the North or South Rims. Just want to say I've seen it - very limited time and money!!

Hi,
I have always wanted to live on a desert island and just live off the land and I know for a fact millions of other people want to do the same.

I think its about time i stopped dreaming and started doing so if anybody wants to join me add your comments and lets go for it. doesnt matter how long we stay there for. i personnally would like to go for just a year or two.

If i get enough positive responses for this post then we can start looking for the right place to stay and how we are going to get there.

If you think im talking a load of rubbish and dont have anything positive to say about this i ask you not to bother commenting at all.

Can any of you tell me how is the weather of Dalhousie,Himachal Pradesh and adjoining areas during Late January/ early Feb .
I think it snows there at that time.But does it gets disconnected by Road from Punjab / Other Himachal Areas due to Landslides /Heavy Snow too ?
