From Las Vegas, where can I see the Grand Canyon, other than paying at least $50 for the West Rim, or driving 5 hours to the North or South Rims. Just want to say I've seen it - very limited time and money!!

The Grand Canyon is big, and you can only see it from 3 spots?? Can't you see it from the highway somewhere?

Oh, and there are 6 of us, so the helicopter and the skywalk are really out of the budget!

There are many ways to see the Grand Canyon. However, you can't see it from any major highway. Your cheapest option is to drive yourself to the South Rim, which is 280 miles from Las Vegas. The entrance fee for the park is $25/vehicle. Tours from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon West run around $200/per person. For a little more adventure, you can stop in Williams, AZ and take the train to the rim for $65 per adult and $30 for children. Once at the rim (however you choose to get there), bus tours along the rim cost around $28 for an adult and $17 for children.

The Grand Canyon is definately a must see. However, I would recommend that you wait until you have more time and money so that you can get the most out of you visit to the Canyon. The best way to experience what the Grand Canyon has to offer is to ride the mules to the bottom. It is well worth the money!

I'm not sure what your question is exactly, but it seems you've answered your own question. Either pay $50 for the West Rim or drive 5 hours to the North or South Rim - just to say you've seen it. I don't see any other choices with limited time or money. You could always pay the price and take a helicopter ride over the canyon.

You can see the pictures about grand canyon http://www.bayareavisit.com/Special.html
West canyon is not national park, and the grand view is not as south rim. You can save 1 hr from vegas, but you have to spend $50 more for skywalk.
