I am in Kolkata for the past 6 months and I find it is in 18th century. There is no inspiration and there is no motivation to become at par with other Indian cities. I welcome practical suggestions. Those who are emotional about 'amar sonar Kolkata may please listen

I work in the middle east for the US government and my g/f that lives in montreal believes that I might not be able to fly into Canada from Dubai for my vacation. Does anyone know if thats true or where I can go to find the answer? Im holding off vacation plans till I can find out the answer.

I am going by myself for 3 days in december, but i do have some friends out there. So far, im planning on going to the Celtics game and the Patriots game. I will be staying at the Park Plaza downtown, and I was wondering what are some of the cooler things the city has to offer? Besides Newburry St., Fenway, or Beacon Hill. I was planning on travelling from Cairns to Syndey (where I plan to work for a year on a holiday visa), however have been told that the main flow of travellers go from Sydney to Cairns.

Have other people found this? I'd like to do the most popular route so I'm in the same direction as others, but it will mean taking an internal flight back to Sydney so want to know if it's worth the extra $200.

I am currently staying in Melbourne, Australia. As summer approaches, there are more and more flies here. Unlike the flies from some other countries, they tend to stick on your face unless you do the "Australian salute" ( No offence intended )

I am surrounded by bushflies when I go out everytime. How can I get rid of them ? Use Aerogard? Other methods available ?
