Like we say the late Mr/s X. Why the use of the word “Late”? What are they late for; and aren’t they earlier to death than those who call them “late”?

Like when i listen to happy, funny or as i call them perk me up songs and tunes, i feel really light and cheerful. Then again, when i listen to romantic songs with great lyrics, i remember my sweetheart, and then other songs make me feel nostalgic to people, places and memories .........

Is this weird or are you also like that? and why?
Could you say one or two songs that really gets to you?

While I do have a friend who lives in a suburb of Beirut that I plan to visit early next year for the first time (I'm American of old European descent - never been to the ME), I am concerned about him, but also selfishly, my own vacation plans. How do you forsee this playing out, and what are my safety risks? I will be staying in a "Christian area", and have no plans to travel too far south or to Tripoli. What is the best time to go in '08?

*PLEASE* only answers from people that actually know, not racists or overly paranoid fellow Americans ;) I need advice from Lebanese there and here, and my fellow world travellers.

Hey. The past 3 weeks at work for me have been very bumpy and incertain. I have been offered a job up in Auckland which pays a very large amount of money and I get a free car! I did get offered jobs in Wellington, Christchurch and even in Sydney but I like the sounds of this one the most.

SO WERE MOVING TO AUCKLAND! I don't mind Auckland, but I don't like the things that go with it like traffic, etc.

I'm really exitied but there is one problem, where to put my kids! This has been really sudden so we will spend most of the holidays shipping stuff up there. My job is in the city. I was looking for a nice area around 25 mins at the most from the city. I was interested in the North Shore. A good place to bring up kids?

What's it like there? Also schools are another issue for the kids. I was looking for something like a good private college. I was hoping it to be really friendly and good so does anybody out there go to one in and around auckland? Thanks

I never quite understood how property can automatically be labeled property of a particular ethnic/religious/ or linguistic group. And before you say it the same goes for the Jews

No one would consider Syria ‘Greek land’ even though the Seleucid Empire controlled the area for over 300 years.

So where exactly dose this concept come from?

Apartheid South Africa? The anti-Semitic remarks I have seen here against the Palestinian people are shocking. In the question I was just looking at; the ID "friend of zion" (or some such) was actively justifying the assault of school children and attempted arson of their school by so called settlers. This person's comment was that the environment was "kill or be killed." Has zion completely lost it's senses? To use the phrase "kill or be killed" in response to a news article of settlers breaking into a school and attacking school children, is appalling. What we have is adults attacking children.
