EU, you need to differentiate between Israeli Arab citizens and non-citizens under Israeli control. The law and the application are different in the two cases.
For starters misguided question asker, all countries are artificial, so there is nothing so unique about Israel. Secondly, while Palestinians are Semites, the term anti-Semite is a term used exclusively to denote anti-Jewish sentiment. I appreciate your attempt to turn the tables, but it is innacurate. As a matter of fact, the Germans, who coined the phrase after all, made it clear to their Arab counterparts that no insult was intended towards them, only to the Jews. Putting that aside, you must realize that most people who answer questions here, and in fact nearly all of the more hardline offensive answerers, are not in fact Israeli, or at the very least do not live here. It is wrong to Judge a country of 7 million by a handful who don't even live there. With regards the issue at hand, those violent individuals are a tiny minority of Israelis, and their actions are not state sanctioned or state supported. I believe it is really quite obvious that Israel is not more racist than apartheid South Africa.

Salam/Shalom to all.
I would not say Zionism is more racist than Apartheid. I would say Israel is the last Apartheid state in the world.
Yes the Arab Israelis lived under martial laws and curfews from 1948 up to 1965.
Israel will remain a Apartheid state as long as Israel is ruled without a written constitution where none Jews have the same citizen rights as the Israeli Jews. If Israel is free society why they refuse to live under free democratic written constitution. Why there is no constitution in Israel?

Firstly, you can't be 'anti semitic' against Palestinians; the term means anti Jewish sentiment and has long been used in this context. It wasn't a Jewish ruling that made it this way, before anyone starts yelling!
Also, how on earth can Israel even be compared to South Africa? Clearly you are speaking either from a stance of total ignorance, or just trying to dissemble.
In Israel EVERYONE has equal rights. Jews, Muslims, Christians: all vote, all can and do enter politics, all have the same opportunities and religious freedom. Colour, gender, religion - none of these matter.
You have taken the isolated comments of one person - who may not even be Israeli - and extrapolated to an entire country.
Hardly logical.

I think it might be a stretch to say that Israel is more rascist then Apartheid south africa, obviously that isn't the case.
But then again there are many shocking pararels such as martial law and courfews being placed on Israels Arab citizens. Where they could not move about freely.
And also there is a South African concept called "Homelands".
Basically every black person in south africa at one time or onother was part of a tribe, the Zulus for example.
There would be a swath of land set up called "homelands" where the blacks would have to live inveriable due to the crampt conditions and general government neglect they became quite large ghettos.
Reminds me of Gaza, what do you think?

I didn't see it but do you think the Israel government would allow some1 not in the army to attack palestinians? that would only show you don't know about Israeli laws, that would be considered assault and they would sit in jail for a long time.. I think we need to view the article for ourselves because I don't know what you are talking about.. no1 in Israel can assault another person, we have a very very wide criminal law here which is was orignally based upon the UK laws, so trust me we are one of the lawful countries on earth, you should come to Israel once in your life, you'd be surprised to find out almost everything you post is false about Israel. I would like to see the article please.
and I want to know if the ppl that did assault these children weren't punished. please give me the article.
I don't know who you are or what your purposes are but I can tell you that the situation for the palestinians is worse then it ever was and not because of Israel but because of hamas which used money Israel has given to them to grow and to become more hatered and now that Israel stopped supporting them with money they use arab countries money to buy weapons and arms and try to attack Israel from Gaza, and they don't help their civilians the only one helping the Gazans is Israel we deliver them electricity/food/water.. only to prevent a humanic catastrophe which hamas is bringing upon them so please be more precise.
P.S. where is the article and I also checked on friend of zion - I didn't see anything like that.. so I'm waiting.

To EU Citizen

It is obvious to me from that statement that you are very poorly educated about the situation in Israel. There is absolutely no curfew on Arabs who are Israeli citizens, the curfew is placed on Arabs living in the Gaza strip and those Arabs are not citizens. The curfew is placed for Israeli protection and to make it easier for the military to keep things under control over there.

I've never seen anything like this against Arabs in the Israeli media:
http://memri.org/bin/articles.cgi?Page=subjects&Area=antisemitism&ID=IA36807
But the Muslims go postal over Mohammed cartoons?
I don't know what your definition of "racist" is, but it definitely doesn't have the same meaning here on Earth . . .

When will you start addressing your comments to such racist and apartheid states such as most of the arab countries who don't allow any immigration, who treat women like property, who import workers from malaysia and india and treat those workers like slaves. Speaking of slavery isn't there official slavery in sudan and other islamic countries? When are you moving to KSA ? I would love to give you a bon voyage gift.

It seems to me that they are the same, how can one racist be any better than another racist? Horrible crimes were also done in South Africa. The hate has just been going on for so long with all sides. Yes some sides are worse in different aspects. I don't know what else to say about it. How to stop it maybe? Make a deal make peace and both sides teach your children not to hate. Sounds easy eh? hmmm.....Cheers!

first it is spelled Eretz not (ersatz)
Second 'Eretz Israel' is a geographic term, it would be like you saying the Western Hemisphere or the Levant is racist. It dose not make any sense.
