Tasmania (Hobart)

I want to move their but i dontt want to live near Hobart, i'm thinking
the northwest coast!?

We are thinking of buying a house in Tas. We are from the Sunshine coast in Queensland and are used to warmer weather. Just wondering how cold it can get.

Anyone else make the move from QLD. Would you recommend it?

I am going to Tasmania and an old friend (now dead) from that island once told me of a mountain side that looks like a skull's face - I have already tried the official tourist web sites - no joy.

Any one know of this - he did say it was not well known (but that was 50 years ago).

Hi guys, I thought of travelling with my family (4 of us) in a campervan from Launcheston to Hobart for around 6 to 7 days...I wonder if it is a good way to travel Tasmania with a campervan? Any recommendations? If yes, are there any cheap and good campervan rental companies as well as campervan/caravan parks? Thanks a lot!

I'll arrive in Hobart the 3rd of october and I'll say till the end of feb. I'm from Italy and I have just 20kg for my luggage.... what do I have to bring with me? is it cold in that period? do you wear flip flops or it's too cold? trainers? t-shirt or jumpers?
shorts or long trousers? wind-breaker, jeans jaket or leather jaket? swim-suit? or wetsuit? there is any beach life like in sydney or it's not warm enough? I know that are stupid questions but in 20kg of luggages I can't make errors!!!!!

We are thinkning of re-locating to Tasmania from Perth, but I fear that it is going to be full of older people!! If anyone has any info on where is nice to live and what sort of work is over there that would be great. Some time ago i was on the spirit of tasmania (the one before the two new ones) and it has a display off all the ferries/ships etc that have been used to cross the tasman sea. One later went on to serve in the ?? sea of russia, if any one knows the name of it, that would be a great help
