Spirit of Tasmania?

Some time ago i was on the spirit of tasmania (the one before the two new ones) and it has a display off all the ferries/ships etc that have been used to cross the tasman sea. One later went on to serve in the ?? sea of russia, if any one knows the name of it, that would be a great help

Was it a big yellow boat called the Empress of Australia,she was doing the run in the early 80s?
