Best oysters I've ever had!! I used to hate them, but in hobart I would eat a dozen fresh ones before dinner every night.

Scallop pies are amazing too.

It's a small city and probably would be considered very slow paced and a little behind the times by mainlanders (like me), but it is also one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been in. There are a lot of old historic pubs and houses that were built by hand by the first settlers to the area.

If you go, Kelly's seafood resteraunt it the best seafood I've ever had. It's in a house just up the hill, out the back of Salamanca square (tucked away and a bit hard to find!)

It is a delightful city and Australia's second oldest after Sydney. It is small but has many good things going for it. Hobart people are friendly. It is home to Australia's Antarctic Division and has both Australian and French Antarctic expedition ships based there in the summer.

A very busy little city. It has alot of history and very nice places to visit. If you go make sure to visit the Cadbury chocolate factory! You can do a tour and you get heaps of free samples and cheap chocolate at the end.
