looking into emigrating from UK, sick of nanny state does anyone know if there are places to ride in NZ, what is the law like?? thanks

Yes - trail bike riding is very big in NZ.
I grew up in Nelson with 3 brothers (and myself) trail bike riding - there is SO many places it's not funny. Other bigger cities you would have to have the bike on a trailer and drive a long time to be anywhere nice to trail bike.
Nelson is top of the South Island and is the sunniest place in NZ.

hey im from NZ. Trail riding and dirt bike riding is VERY big here in NZ :o)
I think the laws quite open, i pretty sure you dont need a license as ive seen young boys on their little motorbikes riding over the country side

Yes,NZ is big for trail riding,be careful of sheep,thet have 3.3 Million of them and they are ever where.
If you have a low noise bike you will hear them ok they go Baa, Baa, Baa all the time
