whats different with ant1 and Mega? which is betterr ?

There are about 10 major TV channels with Panellenic coverage that are available with Nova satellite, but that means a cost of up to 60.00€ per month if the whole packet is taken. Cheaper rates are available for only the Greek Channels.
However, ERT and ANT1 broadcast on satellite certain programms and those are avaiable to Greek abroad. Don't know if it is for free though.
Regarding channel preference is a matter of personal taste and that is mostly by the programms and their level, the channels broadcast.
According to ratings each side gives its own numbers but mostly Mega has more listings.

I would,like the person above me recommend Skai.They actually have web tv,so I guess you could watch it for a few days on the net and if you like it see if you can get it for your tv.It's a great channel(although I would prefer if they didn't make the shows greek but would let them be english and have subtitles cause some of the voices are really annoying).I actually had stopped watching tv till that channel began broadcasting...now I'm hooked,lol!

I would avoid Star Channel for movies. Here in Greece, a film that is about 90 minutes long will actually take about 387 minutes to watch due to all the advertisement breaks they have.
I gave up years ago trying to watch a movie on Star Channel. You could actually go down to the beach - swim and sunbath, and be back home before the ads finish in the middle of a movie.

the most popular channels in greece are
-MEGA and ANT1(there is no real difference between them-both equally good)
-and the i would suggest SKY (ΣΚΑΙ) for really really good documentaries, shows and especially news.
-then there is ALTER, ALPHA, STAR (i would not really recommend them-too much gossip, not so good movies-keep in mind though that lakis lazopoulos is on aplha)
-and NET, ET1,ET3 (national channels) where you can find some quality shows or national sports games and everything nationally "important" like eurovision.

ant1 and mega are both good channels but i like ant1 waaay better. i live in the u.s. and i have ant1. in my opinion ant1 has better shows and every sunday it has a greek movie. it also has theatra, soccer games. and ekpompes. i'd suggest that u get ant. its more entertaining.

I would suggest none, they are all crap. If you do insist however, get just ERT, so as to listen to some news sometimes or watch something interesting.

Depends what you like - my sister has NOVA (she's in UK) and has acess to all the normal channels
