Preface: I am agnostic and believe all religion is false.

Every religion has people who wise-up and get the courage to leave the faith, however, why is it that only ex-muslims feel an immense duty to expose Islam?

Search the web for "ex-christian" websites and you will start to get a sense for what I mean. Now, I recall that there was a group called "fundementalists anonymous" but outside that, ex-christians, or "ex-anyotherreligionbut islam" dont feel compelled to expose the horror of their old religion.

Just so you dont misunderstand...I respect ex-muslims immensely...I am not criticizing them. Its takes more courage to leave Islam than any other religion, because depending on where you live, you risk your life in doing so. However, not matter where you live, you are absolutely certain to lose your family, whether its an Islamic community in America or not.

Ex-Muslims feel this duty because they know that Islam is not only false, but the greatest threat to humanity itself

I've heard some claims that Jesus was not an historyical person because there are other religious icons such as Horus or Mithras that have many characteristics that they share with him.

I'm a christian and in no way am I putting down christianity, I was just wondering!

Did Christianity not come from Judaism? Wouldn't it be better to be Messianic Jews aka Jewish Christians? Why is so much reference paid attention to mostly the New testament and only the Book Of Genesis in the Old Testament the only one you seem to use so much? Wouldn't it be better to just use the Book of Genesis with just the New Testament? Why do you choose which books and verses are valid and which ones aren't valid? Also if according to you guys all religions are false does that mean that Judaism is false as well? Also why is it that everytime I turn around I see certain Christians say that Christianity isn't a religion it's a walk of life? Does that mean that all other religions are just religions? Aren't those considered to be a walk of life as well? Also can't a Non Religious lifestyle be considered a walk of life as well?

I sure do. It's the only thing that keeps me going. Suffer in your life, enjoy yourself in the after life. COME ON, TALK ABOUT ME, TEASE ME, MAKE ME CRY, MAKE ME STUDY, MAKE ME TALK TO PEOPLE I DON'T LIKE!!!! I love it:)

Say that someone attends mass weekly and makes their obligated donation to the church every week for $100. However, they do not practice the faith and do not follow the words/lessons of God And Jesus. Are they truely a Christian.

is that the right spelling? I like the phrase very much, and I often find myself naturally inclined to say it. I put it in my profile. Did I spell it right?

Is the real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse........You cannot post "Thou Shalt Not steal," "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery" and "Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians -- because it creates a hostile work environment?

That would be great. If we all notice that someone is only using answers involving:
-Bible verses that have nothing to do with half or more of the question.
- The words "ignorant" and "arrogant" when ignorance and arrogance have nothing to do with it, it is simply an opposing points of view.
- Answers to the effect of: Well God made that so you're following it even if you don't believe in it (i.e. Well God created science!)

What other prefab fundie answers would be counted? What do you all think?

It seems that every day, there's at least one "Muslim" (Mohammadean) who bends the rules here and posts a "question" which in reality is a poorly disguised advertisement for "Islam" (Mohammadism)

eg...

"Did you know Islam is the fastest growing religion?"
"Why is Islam the fastest growing religion?"
"Did you know people convert from Christianity to Islam?"

etc, etc, etc...
It's like that "Head On" commercial..

"Head on, apply directly to the forehead"
"Head on, apply directly to the forehead"
"Head on, apply directly to the forehead"

Quite annoying...

Then, when you point out that MILLIONS of people are converting FROM Islam (Mohammadism) to another religion, they attack you like angry bees with:

1.) Denials ("That's not true!")
2.) Distractions ("What about..."*insert unrelated topic here*)
3.) Insults ("You are ignorant / racist!")

I haven't seen any "Islamic" sites keeping track of the number of people who LEAVE Islam.

Why do you think this is so?

I can't believe there are people out there who still believe this. I guess they are one step away from Heavens Gate Cult. Its like those televangelists, .....there is only one way they stay on the air...........Stop sending money, you morons. Or maybe I should try it and get rich along with them.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

I believe the reason most Americans are uninformed about the issues is because the politicians are too busy engaging in personal attacks instead of addressing the issues that concern the average American.

Not being a Christian this baffles me. Many Christians, I will not say all, are such bigots. I think it's funny that Christians claimed the Hebrew Bible and then added their own bit on. But still have to refer to the Old Testament so that they can put down women and homosexuals. I thought the New Testament and that Jesus character cleansed all the sin off humanity. Why then do you hate homosexuals? Shouldn't their sins be wiped away too?
