If hate for others is practiced in the name of religion, then that is not the right religion.
Jesus taught us to be meek and to show love for his heavenly Father and for each other.

"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace."
James 3:17-18
Jesus said that his true disciples would be known for their love for one another and their willingness to share the good news of God's Kingdom with all people.

Because "peace" is merely a word to many of these religions - a convenient cover to take no personal responsibility for the hatred and bigotry that they uphold. Not that all religious people uphold hate, but religion is used by many to justify their preexisting prejudices and ideas, rather than as a method of self improvement. All the prophets in the world can tell people to love or be at peace, and once they're dead you can be sure that some of their followers will go on to hate those who didn't "recieve" the message. But in the end, who has not recieved the message?

All the relgions preach peach but look at what has happened, just in the past 500 years. Think about every war that has been fought. When you think about it, a majority of them have been fought, either about religion or have religious undertones.
Religion equals war. There is no denying it.

Because certain people want to be right and consider everybody else to be wrong. Everybody has a different interpretation in terms of how to live life especially in regards to religion and religious beliefs. That's what leads to all of the arguments, fighting, and hard feelings amongst mankind.

People often see religion as an authority outside of themselves. And those who have hatred and violent tendencies do not want to admit that their hatred and violence is their own weakness. So they seek outside authority or approval for their hatred and violence. They misinterpret religion in order to find that approval. It's a natural resource to misuse in that way.

Well to be fair, most of them are probably just thugs using deities names.

Sure enough there will be SOME that actually believe they are being violent on the orders of their deity though.
