Preface: I am agnostic and believe all religion is false.
Every religion has people who wise-up and get the courage to leave the faith, however, why is it that only ex-muslims feel an immense duty to expose Islam?
Search the web for "ex-christian" websites and you will start to get a sense for what I mean. Now, I recall that there was a group called "fundementalists anonymous" but outside that, ex-christians, or "ex-anyotherreligionbut islam" dont feel compelled to expose the horror of their old religion.
Just so you dont misunderstand...I respect ex-muslims immensely...I am not criticizing them. Its takes more courage to leave Islam than any other religion, because depending on where you live, you risk your life in doing so. However, not matter where you live, you are absolutely certain to lose your family, whether its an Islamic community in America or not.
Ex-Muslims feel this duty because they know that Islam is not only false, but the greatest threat to humanity itself

Why do most former members the Mormons, Islam, JWs, and other non-Christian sects end up becoming Christians?
John 1:18 "I know whom I have chosen"
John 15:16 "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you."
Eph. 1:4 "Even as He chose us in Him."
1 Thess. 2:13 "God chose you from the beginning unto salvation."
John 6:37, 39, 44, 64, 65: "All that which the Father gives me shall come to me… this is the will of him that sent me, that of all that which he has given me I should lose nothing… No man can come to me except the Father which sent me draw him…"

Ex-muslims and non-muslims are exposing islam. We currently live in a world of jelousy and hate toward Islam. Why? Good question i'd like to know the answer to that. I'm sure if you really thought about it and stopped being biased and close-minded, you would know that there is a difference between the true meaning of Islam and what is portrayed now. I guess its a matter of lack of education about Islam and I blame it on the media. Its not that common to find a ex-muslim. But ex-muslims are people who think that Islam is to strict for them and cant handle too many restrictions, which can be understood because Islam isnt just a religion, its a way of life!

ok, i searched ex-muslims and ex-other relgions and didn't find a huge difference of amounts of sites for either, so your argument needs some fix-up.
another thing is that, you find these so called "ex-muslims" only on the internet, which is the least reliable source you can ever trust in terms of religion!
another point is that who controls the media? obviously not muslims, so you see lots of things against them, but you never see anything bad about the group that controls the media!!
hopefully this answers ur question, which i think was just a medium to express your thoughts.

well if you knew that something was wrong, you would like to expose its wrongs... i'm a Muslim, and before i was a Christian. And i have knowledge of the confusion in Christianity... i became a Muslim only because i found the real history of a lot of the prophets, with no contradictions.
In Christianity a lot of the things make no sense to me... specially when it is said to believe almost blindly in the Jesus of the Trinitarian Catholics, when there is only one verse in the "holy" bible mentioning it?!
The difference bettween me and the anti-Islamic websites is that i don't patronise people, i show the reasons.
I believe in Jesus as a prophet and as a man, as Jesus calls himself...

Don't you think some of the people do it to justify their leaving? Religion is such a huge thing in many peoples lives they can't just walk away from it and forget it. Many people need justification for their leaving and condemning that religion that they left makes some feel better.
Of course I could be wrong.

Okay to answer your question. I don't know. I don't expose the truth about christianity but I do try to open people's minds about the reality of it. I don't go bashing other people's religion because if they feel comfortable in it then let it be. But if something doesn't feel right, it usually means that they are not on the right spiritual path.

Who wouldn't want to expose a religion that has caused them so much pain in their lives? Why wouldn't they want to send the message that "There is life after religion" ? Why wouldn't people want to voice their opinions? They have broken free of their religion and want other people to know that they can do it too. I see no problem with exposing the truth. I don't agree with lying or exagerating the truth.

I think your question kind of speaks for itself, the reason ex-Muslims are so quick to condemn their former belief is because it is such a violent and wrong religion and when that is exposed to them, they obviously become passionate about sharing it's deceitfulness.

Christians (so-called) who escape from cults do expose them. There are ex-Mormon sites and ex-JW's sites. There are even some ex-catholic sites.
