Is it possible that Americans will one day enjoy a clean mudless campaign?

I believe the reason most Americans are uninformed about the issues is because the politicians are too busy engaging in personal attacks instead of addressing the issues that concern the average American.

Americans as a majority are apathetic to the real issues and politics. Therefore, I really doubt we will ever see a clean mud-less campaign because the politicians are simply trying to win over the popularity game.
