In the sense that Jesus died on the cross, that we must accept him as the true son of God and that he is our only salvation. The only way to heaven is through the son.

I want to know people's opinions of these beliefs-

There is a God of sorts, capable of any form, and absolutely personal. Due to this ability, this "God" would be the best friend of any person, and without any division of attention to other people. There is an afterlife, in which after a person has learned the necessary lessons in life, they are given pleasurable immortal life, and even the worst of people can redeem themselves over time and with learning. This "God" can be seen in and believed in through any form that one believes, so long as it is not purely the form itself which is worshipped. As well, the believer is entirely aware that this is incredibly unlikely, and yet chooses to accept this belief as it is comforting and yields peace of mind. Said forms have included dolls, a fairy, a mythical bird, a man who lived thousands of years ago, and a theoretical android.

These beliefs are pushed on nobody. Is this person sane? Is it acceptable, or beneficial? Any thoughts?

Despite my efforts to achieve and better my life i seem to be failing. I pray and ask God for help but he doesnt seem to listen. Others around me seem to be moving forward while i seem to be held in place. What am i doing wrong? Because of the things that happened in my life i always thought of myself as watched over but i am not so sure now. Perhaps i am being played with by the devil...I have been living my life in the almost category for years. Almost win, Almost get the pramotion, everything seems to be just outside my grasp and God wont seem to help me get to the next level. What do you think Devil or God whos pulling my strings? Perhaps it is just old fashioned bad luck?

It's been years since I've attended church. I'm 29 now, and I think the last time I was probably 14 or so. My husband and I have been talking about joining again... Does anyone question you or approach you? Is it ok to just show up at a church? Is there a dress code? I mean, I have some decent shirts for work, but no dress pants, just jeans....
I know, seemingly silly questions, but I was just wondering... Thanks.

All this ridiculing and doubting, scoffing at God's inerrant words in the Bible and bashing Christians by non-believing individuals on this forum, just serves to prove the Christians viewpoint, by their actually 'fulfilling' the scriptures, that, 'in the last days, scoffers shall come, saying where is the promise of His coming, . . .2 Peter 3 And this prophesied by Paul in II Timothy 4:3-4 which states: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." This sounds like alot of posters here on this forum! Turning away from moral doctrine of right and wrong, turning instead to immortal teachings!

I am in a christian college and I thought I had some really good christian friends but then I found out that one in particular was writing rude e-mails behind my back and continually gossiping about me. Even though we are not friends anymore I still hear of him backstabbing me and every other friend he has. He has convinced lots of people not to be my friend and becuase he is so active on this campus and is in alot of Christian groups and he has a Christian band people believe him. Why are people so blinded by him? Is this what a christian is supposed to be like? I thought we were supposed to be like Christ. I know I should not judge but he has done so many things to me and he never has the guts to deal with me to my face it is always behind my back. I feel bad for him cause he is constantly making up reasons to be stressed and he thinks his life is so hard even though he is only taking 2 classes and they are easy. He is a drama queen. He has also continuously lied to me and others.

There's far more of the latter than atheists. Two of the biggest proponents of evolution: Ken Miller and Francis Collins. THEY'RE CHRISTIANS. But I guess you guys persecute them as well. Doesn't Miller have a bomb-squad to check his hate mail?

What if God is really a mirror of Human being but more experienced and advance.? Can hurt ... can jealous.... etc ... like Human do?.... Why does He need to be loved when He is known to be perfect.. meaning He doesn't need anything... What have you done religion?

Please differentiate between the Soul & Spirit of a person, or are they the same thing? Or do they exist at all?
Most wouldn't argue we have bodies, (unless I put this question in the Philosophy or Psychology section), I'm looking for ideas on Soul & Spirit, what they are, what their functions are. If you think they don't exist, please include why.
Thanks
Enjoy

We have dirt on them now but their followers say they're all lies. Eventually they could have so many followers that the lies really do becomes lies and subsequently forgotten. History might remember them as perfect because the truth was so easily denied.
