Dear lynn 1967,

i personally do not believe in karma. If anything the Bible teaches that we don't always get what we deserve.

The teaching you reap what you sow- basically says the things you sow will show themselves. If you're a lazy, or a dishonest person at some point that'll catch up with you.. That isn't "Karma" it just makes sense. If someone is a bank robber at some point they're going to reap the consequences of that he is not in jail becaue of karma, he's in jail because he sowed poorly and is reaping the consequence of that.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

Yes, we definitely reap what we sow, but Karma is very different. Karma is something that gets us in our next life, not this one.

Reincarnation is talked about in the West like its something great, we get to live over and over, or maybe we were famous in a past life. Even Buddha saw reincarnation, not as an end in itself, but something to be avoided by reaching Nirvana. There are no guarantees with karma that you will not come back as a flea or a lower life form. Not much to hope for.

The bible says that we die once. So, we better be certain tha what we believe is the truth. Christianity DOES give a guarantee of salvation. It also gives us hope and peace. Reincarnation and karma can not.

The underlying force or power under the label of karma is spiritual law, which perpetually enforces itself. So "karma" does not actually exist as a power or intelligence. You reap what you sow in this life. However, the reward for good and love may not be be fully seen in this age, until more evil is stripped from consciousness. But the main thing is, choose good and right and never turn from it to the other side, for good and right abide in spiritual law.

Smack your thumb with a hammer. If it hurts, karma exists.

Not literally, but i think does have some merit. If you do good things and treat ppl well the more of that will come back to you.
