All this ridiculing and doubting, scoffing at God's inerrant words in the Bible and bashing Christians by non-believing individuals on this forum, just serves to prove the Christians viewpoint, by their actually 'fulfilling' the scriptures, that, 'in the last days, scoffers shall come, saying where is the promise of His coming, . . .2 Peter 3 And this prophesied by Paul in II Timothy 4:3-4 which states: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." This sounds like alot of posters here on this forum! Turning away from moral doctrine of right and wrong, turning instead to immortal teachings!

if actuality learn the bible contradicts itself... lots. some intentionally (as an occasion Jesus contradicting the daddy's asserting of a watch for a watch, a tooth for a tooth), and a few by accident. The bible grow to be written 2000 years in the past; while human beings mandatory solutions, and the writers, even in spite of the incontrovertible fact that guided via the be attentive to God, have been nonetheless human and services to human blunders. they might have over exaggerated particular memories or activities. as an occasion Adam and Eve being the 1st guy and lady interior the worldwide, that's maximum in all probability to be untrue, yet make be a metaphorical description of what got here approximately, or describing the evolution of humankind in a poetic way. if actuality learn the bible is extensive, has an previous testomony and a sparkling testomony - the two which contradict themselves heavily. there are particular rules all of them in many circumstances agree on, yet for the main section they're 2 separate scriptures for my section; subsequently the formation of two separate, yet alike, religions - jews and christians. Then the denominations of christians which contain fundamentalists, liberalists etc. are the non-public interpretations from the bible.

Do Christians notice that most of the Bible verses they use against atheists "persecuting" them or refusing to believe, actually tend to predict the state of Christianity today? My turn to use Bible verses.
Matthew 7:15-18: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Were the crusades good fruit or evil fruit? How about the inquisition? The witch hunts? Constantine's brutal force conversion to Christianity (he also shaped Christianity into what it is today, in many respects)
Timothy 4:3-4 which states: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
Sounds to me more like they were warning us of Fundies...

luvthedrew: More atheists have read and studied the Bible than you know. The difference is, we've also read other books. We're not afraid of hearing opposing views. Your "reality" is so fragile that anything that disputes it offends you. That's not how I want to live.

We fulfill your scriptures because your scriptures are impossible not to fulfill.
"in the last days, scoffers shall come,"
No, really? You mean people scoff at stuff? What an amazing prediction.
Jesus said there would be "wars and famines" in the last days.
Wow, wars and famines? In the future? WHO COULD GUESS THAT?

The religiously infected loons don't need us critical thinkers to fulfill their idiotic religion.
Me thinks people are finally getting smart and not buying into the B.s the religiously infected loons have been selling. Which is about time.

Fundy Christian make themselves as obnoxious as possible thereby facilitating ridicule by those they annoy. then despite the fact that it is the Christians invoking the hostilities nonChristians fulfill prophesy as evil doers and it all works out to the Christian's advantage in the end.

Paul and co were absolutely brilliant at creating teachings that mean believers don't have to listen to anybody else's opinion and are fully justified, in terms of early Christianity, in not doing so.
You call it faith. In the rest of the world, we call that brainwashing.

It wouldn't take a genius to predict that scoffers will come when you've just composed the biggest pile of crap imaginable and expect gullible people to be taken in by it...and of course it's the gullible people who are taken in by all of it. I predict more scoffing by more people than was ever prophesied ...and I'm no prophet.

Ya...Those are some pretty smart things to include in prophecies. Stop believing and I will bring the end of the world.
You know it is pretty safe to. All religions fall out of favor at some point.
