Okay, I'm an ex-Christian, but I refuse to say 100% that there is no such thing as the supernatural. Lately, I'm finding so many Atheists that annoy the HELL out of me- Polly Toynbee and Byron Crawford among others. These are the sort that are out to destroy Christianity and find most if not all Christians to be insane and stupid. They believe themselves to be greater and make their own personal "unholy war". However, there are alot of Christians that abuse the bible and say "god hates this" and "god hates you", meanwhile there is nothing in the Bible written about God hating anyone. According to it's teachings, he is still the father of all. I've been raised in a family of Christians who have friends that are both Chrsitians and non. This makes them unpopular with some in both circles. Now recently, I've discoved the Friendly Atheist website, which slightly bridges the gap. Even still, this is being criticized. All of this mutual hating is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

When do you think the end of the world or the end of human beings will be? Will it be 20 years, 200 years, 2000 years from now?

About six months ago, I requested the Bishop to interview me for a Temple recommend. He gave me the recommend with no reservations. So here I was ready to go to the temple for the first time....

My Ward has a monthly drive to the Temple, so I went along in the Van. Upon arrival, I was excited to go into the temple, but when I went there, I was told that Baptisms for the Dead were done, and that I couldn't remain. The man at the front desk took my recommend and thanked me for 'making the effort'.

This was a serious blow to my faith. It definitely tried me, and as a result I lost some of my enthusiasm for the Mormon church (having been baptized 4 months earlier). I'm still trying to recovery from this situation, which was the result of an honest mistake. Inside, I feel really disappointed. But I still am striving to carry on...

Anyone else had similar experiences? How did you react, and what did you do to rekindle your faith/enthusiasm for the Mormon Church?

If you believe in your own existence....you also believe in a form of energy that brought you into existence.

You did not create yourself???

In the LDS, we have a Patriarchal Blessing. Members can choose to have a Patriarchal blessing once in their lives, usually when they're young. They meet with the man who is called upon to be Patriarch for Ward/Stake. The Patriarch will reveal to them details about their future life, and then bless them so that they can have a fulfilling life in loving service.

In one example, a man who considered himself unmarriageable was given a Patriarchal blessing that he would get married and raise a large family. At the time, he was uneducated, unemployed and suffering from significant lack of self confidence.

In a second example, a woman received her Patriarchal Blessing. Prior to the blessing, she was told that she could never bear children. When the Patriarch told her that she would marry and give birth to several children in a large family, she thought he was crazy.

Within two years, the man and woman had met and got married. They had five children. and he's Stake Patriarch now

A: You know there's a lot of Hypocracy in Christianity right now, don't you agree?
C: Do not judge others....whose the hypocrite now?
A: Oh sorry, I'm not a Christian =p Who are you to judge me anyway?
C: You intrepreted that verse wrongly!

My husband and I moved to a new state and we love it out west it is the best choice we ever made besides accepting the Lord and getting married. But lately it seems that we have been staying up later and later I LOVE the computer and He LOVES the TV. We have devotions after dinner and talk about the Lord and the Bible, we exspecially my husband has a very hard time slowing down at night and going to sleep.

We are taking a new members course on Sunday at 8:30 in the morning to learn about the church and we LOVE the class but when the preaching and the sermon comes we find ourselves nodding off because we are tired and we squeeze eachotherss hands to pay attention.

We are very high energy people and we just need prayer to slow down and get the right amount of rest and to have energy to honor the Lrods day and enjoy being in the presence of God and others. Could you pray for us to balance our priorites better and seek Him first? Has this ever happened to you?

Aren't Christians great?

They don't judge others, they love their neighbours, they love their enemies, they look at their own mistakes first before looking at others, they love everyone, they want peace and tolerance, they forgive, they turn the other cheek,

basicly, they are nice.

To the real Christians, this is just a salute to you guys.

To the "Christians", that was sarcasm.
